Worked on enhancing the reliability of storage operations in the supabase/postgres repository by improving the volume mounting workflow. Developed a feature in bash that performs a pre-mount device availability check, ensuring that mount attempts only proceed when the target device is accessible. This approach reduced the risk of mount-related errors and minimized downtime during deployments. Focused on DevOps and system administration practices, the work also included refining error handling and observability within the mounting process, enabling faster troubleshooting and clearer failure diagnostics. The changes contributed to more resilient storage deployments and streamlined operational workflows for the repository’s infrastructure.
