Worked on the graphql-hive/gateway repository to address a critical reliability issue in the real-time event pipeline. Focused on stabilizing Server-Sent Events (SSE) delivery, the developer identified and fixed a bug in SSE buffering that occurred when content encoding was enabled, which had previously caused dropped events and disrupted real-time streaming. The solution was implemented directly in the runtime, restoring correct event delivery and preventing compression interference. This work required strong skills in Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL, as well as proficiency in runtime debugging and collaborative development workflows, with an emphasis on reliability and correctness over new feature delivery.
