Worked on the balena-kontron-mx8mm repository to deliver bootloader integration and enhance build system reliability for embedded Linux platforms. Focused on updating the meta-ked-bsp to version 6.2.0 and introducing the meta-ked-bootloader layer, enabling seamless bootloader support within the Yocto Project environment. Refreshed build configurations by renaming bbappend files and ensuring the build system correctly discovers and utilizes the new bootloader layer. Aligned meta-openembedded and poky submodules to the latest kirkstone commits, maintaining compatibility with upstream components. Utilized BitBake and Shell scripting to implement these features, emphasizing robust build systems and embedded systems development practices throughout the process.
