
During January 2025, Vanja Tomic developed dynamic validator management for the vechain/thor repository, focusing on enhancing the staking system’s flexibility and security. Vanja implemented features to add, remove, and list validators, updating staking and unstaking logic to incorporate validator addresses and support robust validator lifecycle management. The work was carried out using Go and Solidity, leveraging blockchain development and smart contract expertise. Comprehensive test coverage was added to ensure correctness and prevent regressions, with all changes passing continuous integration checks. This effort reduced manual operational overhead and aligned the staking system with governance requirements, delivering well-integrated, incremental functionality.
