Worked on reliability improvements for the permaweb/HyperBEAM repository, focusing on backend development and HTTP server management using Erlang. Addressed two critical bugs over a two-month period, first correcting the Cowboy handler’s response tuple to enforce a consistent downstream contract and improve request handling stability. Subsequently, improved the httpsig_proxy component by ensuring proper handling of committed message values, preventing downstream errors during message processing. Both fixes were delivered as targeted, minimal changes that enhanced production reliability without introducing new features. The work demonstrated careful attention to system contracts and runtime correctness, supporting maintainable and robust backend infrastructure for production workloads.
