Worked on the wandb/helm-charts repository to deliver two features focused on improving reliability and scalability for Kubernetes deployments. Developed configurable API rate limiting in the W&B operator Helm chart, enabling operators to control throughput and stability during peak usage by introducing environment variables for file streams, run updates, and artifact creation. Enhanced auto-scaling for the flat-run-fields-updater using KEDA with Kafka lag-based metrics and optimized resource utilization, raising rate limits to support higher request volumes. Leveraged YAML, Helm, and Kubernetes to implement these changes, resulting in more predictable API performance and safer, metrics-driven scaling for production environments.
