By ensuring the toolchain remains current, the work improved maintainability and reduced the risk of build failures due to outdated dependencies. The changes leveraged skills in Dockerfile authoring, shell scripting, and Python, supporting future readiness for ongoing toolchain and infrastructure updates within the project.
