During a two-month period, Vinoth developed and integrated security-focused features across rdkcentral/docker-device-mgt-service-test and rdkcentral/rdkfwupdater. He implemented a certificate creation framework within Docker containers, enabling dynamic server and client certificate management to support mutual TLS and secure inter-service communication. Using C, Node.js, and Shell scripting, Vinoth enhanced release workflows by validating certificate generation and decoding, ensuring robust certificate handling in both deployment and testing environments. His work included integrating the RDK certificate selector for L2 mTLS testing, improving risk reduction and test coverage. The solutions addressed operational efficiency and strengthened the security posture of device management workflows.
