Worked on stabilizing Chrome CDP startup reliability in the openclaw/openclaw repository, focusing on improving diagnostics and memory management. Addressed a memory leak by ensuring the stderr listener was properly detached after Chrome startup, preventing resource issues during repeated diagnostics. Enhanced error handling by capturing Chrome’s stderr output on startup failures and adding a Linux-specific sandbox hint to error messages, making troubleshooting more effective for developers. Utilized JavaScript and TypeScript within a Node.js environment, applying skills in browser automation and debugging. The work prioritized maintainability and clarity, resulting in more robust startup diagnostics and streamlined error visibility for the project.
