In December 2024, Max Veillette enhanced French localization for the phetsims/greenhouse-effect repository, focusing on scientific accuracy and natural phrasing. Max implemented pluralization for key terms such as light sources, target molecules, and bond movements, addressing grammatical nuances in French. Using FTL and leveraging skills in internationalization and localization, Max refined directional terminology and introduced new localization keys to better support particle-based molecule descriptions. All updates were delivered in a single, traceable commit, ensuring maintainability. The work demonstrated careful attention to linguistic detail and improved the user experience for French-speaking audiences, though it was limited in scope to one feature.
