Focused on aligning daemon lifecycle handling with interface contracts by updating the EnsureRunning function to use RestartDaemon instead of StartDaemon, ensuring correct behavior when daemons are already running. This change improved compliance for both containerd and kubelet implementations, preventing unnecessary restarts and reinforcing system stability during reconfiguration. The work involved targeted bug fixing using Go and system programming skills, with careful attention to interface semantics and contract adherence. Delivered a precise solution that addressed specific issues in daemon management without introducing new features during the period.
