During October 2025, Venkit enhanced routing stability and dataplane efficiency across the sonic-net/sonic-swss and sonic-net/sonic-buildimage repositories. He implemented route replace semantics in fpmsyncd, refactoring route handling logic in C to improve maintainability and reduce ECMP traffic drops. His work included crash fixes related to misformatted route information and updates to high-frequency telemetry for better reliability. Venkit also enabled use-route-replace for FRR zebra, optimizing route updates and adding CLI commands for configuration and visibility. Leveraging skills in C programming, network routing, and system programming, he delivered features that improved route update performance and high availability readiness.
