Worked on modernizing tooling metadata and expanding hardware build support in the microsoft/vcpkg repository. Led a data migration effort by converting tool metadata from XML to JSON, streamlining data structures and improving parsing efficiency. Enhanced the CMake build configuration to include ARM64 architecture entries, ensuring compatibility with newer hardware platforms and supporting future scalability. Focused on configuration management and build systems, the work reduced parsing complexity and maintenance overhead by standardizing on JSON. Utilized CMake, JSON, and XML to deliver a maintainable solution that enables faster releases and broader device support, addressing both current and anticipated build requirements.
