Worked on the hacksider/kilocode repository to enhance the OpenRouter API by implementing support for reasoning details, enabling the preservation and transmission of reasoning traces within API requests and message formats. This addition improved traceability and facilitated easier debugging and audits for OpenRouter providers. The work involved clarifying the scope of reasoning details by removing outdated comments in the OpenRouterHandler and Task classes, ensuring the feature applied only to relevant components. Leveraging TypeScript and Node.js, the developer focused on backend and API development, resulting in clearer API contracts and improved maintainability across OpenRouter integrations within a one-month development period.
