Over a three-month period, contributed to navikt/k9-sak-web by developing and refining features focused on hospitalization and admission period management within the PILS module. Leveraging React and TypeScript, introduced new UI components and data model adjustments to enable users to define, validate, and manage hospitalization windows, improving patient flow planning and data accuracy. Enhanced the end-of-life workflow by implementing default value handling to prevent null displays, ensuring UI consistency and reliability. Optimized admission period validation logic to reduce false failures and accelerate submissions, while adding Storybook tests to verify validator behavior. Work demonstrated strong frontend and full stack development skills.
July 2026: Delivered PILS Admission Period Validation Enhancements in navikt/k9-sak-web, enforcing admission periods to fall within application periods, adding a visual partial-approvals indicator in the process step bar, and introducing a rejection reason for end-of-life care admissions. Also optimized the validator to skip re-validation of already approved periods, reducing false failures and accelerating submissions. Added Storybook tests validating validator logic and UI behavior. Overall, these changes improve reliability, reduce manual intervention, and clarify user feedback during PILS submissions.
