During June 2025, Daniel Vilhena developed a new feature for the PrefectHQ/prefect-ui-library repository, focusing on enhancing variable management within the UI. He implemented a Duplicate action in the Variables view, allowing users to clone an existing variable’s properties and open a pre-filled modal for streamlined creation of new variables. This approach reduced manual entry and minimized configuration errors, directly improving workflow efficiency and user experience. Daniel utilized his front-end development expertise with TypeScript and Vue.js to deliver this targeted solution. The work demonstrated a focused, single-feature contribution with depth in UI/UX engineering and attention to product workflow consistency.
