Worked on stabilizing the slicing pipeline in the bambulab/BambuStudio repository by addressing a critical bug affecting optimization reloads. Focused on C++ development and debugging, the work involved removing the reset of the helio_background_process during optimization reloads, which previously caused intermittent failures and unreliable state restoration. This targeted fix resolved a long-standing edge case, directly closing Issue #8907 with a precise commit that minimized risk to existing features. The approach maintained user-facing behavior while improving reliability and maintainability of the codebase, demonstrating disciplined debugging practices and careful git management throughout the process, with all changes implemented in C++.
