Worked on the hashicorp/nomad-autoscaler project, focusing on backend development and API integration using Go and AWS. Addressed a critical bug in AWS Auto Scaling Group drain validation, ensuring that scaling operations respect minimum size constraints and suspended processes to prevent unnecessary capacity loss. Upgraded the Go toolchain to version 1.25.10 and updated dependencies, resolving 14 security vulnerabilities to enhance application stability. Prepared the codebase for the 0.5.0 release by adding support for InfluxDB APM and JWT Bearer authentication. Expanded test coverage for scaling error scenarios and maintained comprehensive release notes and changelogs to document all improvements.
