Vishruth Janumpally contributed to the UTDallasEPICS/Wellness-Center-Older-Adults repository by establishing a foundation for local database-driven development. He implemented a feature that added a DATABASE_URL variable to the .env.example file, enabling developers to configure local database connections easily. This work focused on environment configuration using dotenv, ensuring that future development could leverage file-based or local databases without manual setup. Although the scope was limited to a single feature over one month, the change addressed a key workflow need and improved the project’s readiness for collaborative development. The work demonstrated practical application of environment management and configuration best practices.
