Developed an OCI image labeling feature for enterprise compliance within the konflux-ci/build-definitions repository, focusing on enhancing image management and traceability. The work introduced a LABELS parameter to the package-operator-package task and pipeline, enabling key-value labels to be attached to OCI images for improved compliance tracking and contract verification. Leveraging CI/CD practices and containerization expertise, the implementation involved updating YAML definitions and Bash build scripts to propagate labels through build steps using kubectl-package with the --label flag. This approach harmonized with existing buildah-based workflows, strengthening governance by ensuring all produced images carry traceable metadata for enterprise contract requirements.
