During October 2024, Vlermanda developed a GeoJSON data synchronization utility for the open-source-uc/UbiCate-v2 repository, focusing on robust data processing and scripting in Python. The utility compared two GeoJSON files, identified missing objects, and provided an option to merge them in place, addressing the need for consistent and synchronized geospatial datasets. Vlermanda also handled release housekeeping by preparing the places.json merge into the bot branch and cleaning up temporary development files, which improved repository hygiene and streamlined future release cycles. The work demonstrated practical application of data processing, scripting, and GeoJSON manipulation, with a focus on maintainability and data integrity.
