Developed and delivered a cross-region CloudWatch log group pre-provisioning feature for Lambda@Edge, focusing on enforcing log retention and supporting PCI-DSS compliance. This work, implemented in the pleo-io/spa-tools repository, enhanced observability and governance by ensuring consistent log retention policies across multiple AWS regions. Using Terraform and HCL, the developer automated the creation of log groups, enabling secure and compliant logging for Lambda@Edge functions. The approach leveraged AWS infrastructure as code best practices to streamline deployment and configuration, addressing compliance requirements while improving the security posture and operational visibility of distributed serverless workloads in the organization’s cloud environment.
