Developed a configurable Bearer-token authentication feature for the coder/code-server Marketplace API, enabling secure, product-configured authorization for accessing external services. The implementation centralized token-based authentication by introducing a configurable authorization header, reducing reliance on hard-coded credentials and simplifying token rotation. This approach established a baseline for secure API access and laid the foundation for future enhancements in token management and auditing. The work focused on API development and security best practices, utilizing TypeScript to ensure maintainability and clarity. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as efforts concentrated on enhancing security posture and improving authorization handling within the repository.
