Worked on the gip-inclusion/dora repository to enhance analytics model documentation, focusing on improving clarity and governance for DBT models. Updated model descriptions to clearly articulate their purposes, inputs, and outputs, which reduced ambiguity and streamlined onboarding for analysts. The technical approach emphasized disciplined documentation practices, careful data modeling, and version control, ensuring that changes were traceable and aligned with analytics expectations. Utilized Bash and YAML to support the documentation process and maintain consistency across models. This work strengthened model maintainability and governance, providing a more reliable foundation for analytics outputs and supporting efficient onboarding for new team members.
