During December 2024, Vitor Coelho upgraded the development container’s base image for the neo-project/neo repository, moving from Ubuntu Jammy to Ubuntu Noble LTS. This work focused on containerization and DevOps practices, using Dockerfile to ensure the updated environment provided access to newer packages and security patches while maintaining compatibility with existing workflows. By carefully preserving core functionality and preventing regressions, Vitor established a more robust foundation for future development. The upgrade improved developer onboarding and tooling reliability, setting the stage for upcoming features. The depth of the work lay in balancing modernization with stability across the development environment.
