In February 2026, Vovsike developed an environment-based deployment configuration for the Plotting Service within the fiaisis/gitops repository. By introducing environment variables through YAML configuration, Vovsike enabled the service to distinguish between production and staging deployments, addressing the need for deployment flexibility and reducing configuration drift. This work leveraged skills in configuration management, containerization, and DevOps practices to streamline the GitOps workflow. The solution improved deployment consistency and supported faster, safer release cycles across environments. While the scope was focused on a single feature, the implementation demonstrated a clear understanding of environment management and practical application of infrastructure-as-code principles.
