Worked on improving container deployment reliability for the snakemake/snakemake repository, focusing on enhancing the reproducibility and stability of workflow execution. Addressed a deployment issue by implementing absolute path resolution for bind-mounts in Singularity and Apptainer containers, which reduced environment-specific failures and improved compatibility across different systems. Utilized Python and DevOps practices to refine the containerization process, ensuring that workflows run consistently in various CI and user environments. Validated the solution with targeted tests and updated documentation to clarify the new binding behavior, supporting both users and contributors in adopting the improved container deployment approach for Snakemake workflows.
