Worked on the VictoriaMetrics/helm-charts repository to deliver a deployment simplification feature focused on Grafana integration. Addressed deployment friction by removing the allow_loading_unsigned_plugins check from the Grafana configuration in the victoria-metrics-k8s-stack Helm chart, specifically when the victoriametrics-metrics-datasource is enabled. This adjustment streamlined the deployment process, reduced the risk of misconfiguration, and enabled faster onboarding for Grafana users. The work involved editing Kubernetes Helm charts and managing plugin configuration, with changes tracked through Git-based version control. Utilized skills in DevOps, Helm, and Kubernetes, and implemented the solution using Go, focusing on practical improvements to deployment workflows.
