Worked on the fleetdm/fleet repository to enhance the accuracy and maintainability of host software status displays, focusing on backend logic using Go and SQL. Addressed a bug in the hostVPPInstalls function by removing a redundant SQL condition that previously led to ambiguous Android status reporting. Improved code clarity by adding detailed comments and updating changelog documentation to explain the rationale behind the changes. Validated the updates through existing tests and successful builds, ensuring no unintended behavior changes. These efforts resulted in more reliable admin dashboards, better alignment with NCR filtering patterns, and clearer presentation of install statuses across platforms.
