Worked on the NousResearch/hermes-agent repository to enhance reliability and cross-platform consistency in backend systems. Addressed test suite compatibility by introducing conditional imports and Windows skip guards for UNIX-specific Python modules, leveraging pytest to ensure robust testing across different environments. Resolved a critical issue in NixOS container mode by modifying the dispatcher to spawn Hermes processes using the current Python interpreter, eliminating PATH-related errors and improving automation. The work demonstrated strong skills in Python, DevOps, and cross-platform development, resulting in more predictable continuous integration workflows and stable Hermes behavior across both UNIX and Windows platforms within a single development cycle.
