During September 2025, Changzhong Xu enhanced the google/gvisor repository by extending the XDP LinkEndpoint to support multiple RX queues, addressing a key scalability limitation. Previously, the endpoint was restricted to NIC queue 0, which constrained network throughput in high-traffic scenarios. By introducing a QueueID field to the Options struct and updating the initialization logic, Changzhong enabled AF_XDP sockets to attach to any specified queue, allowing for improved traffic distribution and higher performance. This work demonstrated strong proficiency in Go, network programming, and system programming, delivering a technically robust solution that directly improved the system’s scalability and efficiency.
