During March 2025, Daniel Nylander delivered a comprehensive Swedish localization refresh for the Cacti/cacti repository, focusing on both the core application and user interface. He utilized Weblate to consolidate and update 5,528 translation strings, ensuring improved grammar, accuracy, and completeness for Swedish-speaking users. Working primarily with PHP and PO files, Daniel integrated the updated translations directly into the mainline workflow, enhancing the maintainability and consistency of the localization pipeline. His approach emphasized clear commit hygiene and traceability, resulting in a more robust translation management process and measurable improvements in language coverage across the project’s internationalization efforts.
