Worked on enhancing chat reliability in the CopilotKit/CopilotKit repository by addressing a critical scrolling issue in CopilotChatView. Focused on stabilizing the pin-to-send feature, the solution involved introducing a dynamic spacer that adapts to content changes and refining the ResizeObserver logic to handle both growth and shrinkage, preventing layout jitter. Updated scroll element references ensured consistent bottom-tracking during user interactions with bottom-anchored controls. Automated tests were added using Vitest to verify scroll-to-bottom button visibility across varying content lengths. Demonstrated strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and frontend testing, resulting in improved user experience and reduced production incidents.
