Worked on DS4SD/docling and lancedb/lancedb, focusing on backend and CLI development using Python, XML, and XPath. Addressed structured abstract parsing in JATS documents by implementing a recursive parser to handle nested sections, ensuring accurate export and data fidelity. Enhanced the VLM CLI by enabling accelerator options, allowing device and thread configuration to be passed through the pipeline. In lancedb/lancedb, improved input validation for table creation and data insertion by enforcing list-of-dictionaries input, providing clearer error messaging and adding regression tests. Emphasized robust error handling, unit testing with Pytest, and mocking to deliver safer data ingestion and reliable exports.
