During August 2025, Wikivisor focused on deprecating the Skinny extension within the WikiTeq/Taqasta repository to streamline deployment and reduce ongoing maintenance. By methodically removing Skinny-related code and references from both the Dockerfile and DockerSettings.php, Wikivisor minimized the deployment surface and mitigated future risks. The work involved careful configuration management and DevOps practices, ensuring that all deployment artifacts associated with Skinny were eliminated. Utilizing PHP and Dockerfile, Wikivisor’s changes reduced the complexity of future updates and lowered the maintenance burden for the project. This targeted feature work demonstrated a focused approach to technical debt reduction and deployment optimization.
