During March 2025, work centered on restoring data integrity for the filecoin-project/Allocator-Registry repository, specifically addressing a critical issue with the Gitcoin faucet’s JSON data files. The developer focused on data recovery and file management, implementing a targeted bug fix that reinstated lost JSON assets and restored faucet functionality, thereby preventing service disruption. The approach included thorough validation and verification steps to ensure the integrity of the recovered data, as well as updates to recovery documentation to improve future incident traceability. This work leveraged skills in data recovery and JSON, contributing to the ongoing reliability and stability of downstream services.
