Worked on enhancing the HealthOmics MCP StartRun API within the awslabs/mcp repository, focusing on backend and API development using Python. Delivered a feature that enriched the StartRun API response by adding tags, uuid, and networkingMode fields, improving the structure and reliability of data exchanged between services. Emphasized robust handling of null or missing values by implementing safe defaults and expanding test coverage to verify resilience against incomplete data. The approach prioritized a reliable API contract and safer downstream integration, aligning with business goals of improved data consistency and integration reliability. No bugs were reported or fixed during this period.
