Wln developed a feature for the zed-industries/zed repository that enhances the Recent Projects picker by displaying SSH hostnames, addressing the challenge of distinguishing identical project paths across multiple remote hosts. Using Rust and applying principles of UI development and software engineering, Wln implemented both backend and interface changes to reduce ambiguity in remote-path selection, aligning SSH labeling with existing WSL conventions. This work improved user confidence and safety when navigating remote environments, laying groundwork for broader SSH support.
