Worked on stability improvements for the grafana/beyla project, focusing on the reliability of HTTP/2 and gRPC header processing. Addressed a critical issue where fragmented HTTP/2 headers could cause panics during gRPC requests by refining the logic to correctly handle continuation frames. This solution involved updating the Go codebase and enhancing test coverage in http2grpc_transform.go to ensure robust handling of fragmented headers and prevent regressions. Leveraged skills in debugging, network programming, and HTTP/2 protocol internals to deliver a targeted bug fix, resulting in improved runtime stability and safer processing of gRPC traffic within the repository’s HTTP/2 path.
