Liu worked on stability hardening for the grafana/beyla repository, focusing on HTTP/2 and gRPC header processing. During this period, Liu delivered a targeted fix addressing a panic caused by fragmented HTTP/2 headers in gRPC requests. By updating the header checking logic to properly handle continuation frames, Liu ensured that the HTTP/2 decoder could safely parse fragmented headers without crashing. The solution included comprehensive test updates in Go to validate the corrected behavior and prevent regressions. Liu’s work demonstrated strong debugging and network programming skills, resulting in improved reliability and safer handling of HTTP/2 fragmentation within the project.
