During January 2025, Wmontwe developed a remote Gradle build orchestration script for the thunderbird/thunderbird-android repository, enabling developers to offload Android builds to a remote server using Bash, rsync, and SSH. This approach reduced local resource usage and accelerated artifact generation by synchronizing project files, executing Gradle tasks remotely, and retrieving outputs efficiently. Wmontwe also initiated onboarding and documentation for the thunderbird/thunderbird-ios repository, authoring a comprehensive README in Markdown to clarify project goals and community engagement. The work demonstrated practical build automation and shell scripting skills, with a focus on reliability, contributor experience, and cross-platform project visibility.
