Xiaobai Wu developed and integrated Python 3.14 free-threaded concurrency support for the cocoindex-io/cocoindex repository, enabling improved concurrency and scalability by default. Their work focused on refining ABI compatibility and updating the testing framework to validate both performance and correctness under the new concurrency model. Using Python and Rust, Xiaobai enhanced the project’s continuous integration processes and stabilized build metadata through targeted Cargo.toml adjustments. Although no bugs were reported or fixed during this period, the depth of engineering addressed concurrency challenges and improved CI reliability, positioning the project for safer releases and more robust multi-threaded operation in future development.
