Worked on governance improvements for the EasyPost/easy-ui repository by consolidating and expanding the CODEOWNERS file to enhance pull request review routing and accountability. Focused on code ownership management using YAML, the changes ensured that the dev-tools team and newly added teams are properly notified and responsible for code reviews. This structural update reduced the risk of misrouted reviews, accelerated approval processes, and improved security and compliance by clarifying ownership boundaries. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to DevOps practices, emphasizing maintainability and clear team responsibilities within the repository’s workflow, with all updates tracked through targeted feature commits.
