During November 2025, Xaionaro focused on stabilizing media operations for Android 15+ within the FFmpeg/FFmpeg repository. He addressed a critical bug by implementing Binder thread pool initialization, which resolved failures in the MediaCodec path on newer Android versions. This work involved adding new binder handling files and integrating them into the fftools component, using C programming and multithreading techniques. Xaionaro’s targeted fix improved runtime stability and compatibility for Android 15+ devices, reducing edge-case crashes. While the scope was limited to a single bug fix, the solution demonstrated depth in Android development and careful integration with existing FFmpeg infrastructure.
