Worked on the helix-editor/helix repository to enhance the flexoki_light theme by implementing per-state bufferline highlighting through TOML configuration. Focused on improving buffer visibility and usability, the changes introduced distinct visual cues for active and inactive buffers, aligning with established design guidelines. All modifications were carefully isolated within the theme configuration files, minimizing deployment risk and simplifying ongoing maintenance. The work leveraged skills in configuration management, UI theming, and version control with Git. By refining the bufferline’s appearance, the update aimed to deliver a more consistent user experience and potentially reduce support queries related to buffer visibility issues.
