Yushli developed an automated hardware summary reporting feature for the kernelci/dashboard repository, focusing on streamlining notifications and data-driven decision-making. Leveraging Django and Python, Yushli implemented a hardware_summary action that generates reports from subscription files, integrating seamlessly with the existing notifications workflow. The approach emphasized backend development and data processing, using conventional commits and signed-off provenance to ensure traceability and maintainability. This work reduced manual reporting effort and minimized the risk of misreporting by automating the process based on user subscriptions. Over the month, Yushli’s contribution demonstrated depth in backend automation and improved the reliability of hardware reporting systems.
