Xueyu Wu developed a feature for the facebook/fbthrift repository focused on enhancing PrivacyLib RPC policy propagation and dynamic policy enforcement. By propagating service and method context within RPC calls, Xueyu enabled more accurate policy reclassification and reduced misclassification risks at runtime. The work involved extending ThriftPolicyZoneModuleContext and PendingStandardization to support explicit dynamic policy annotations, consolidating policy standardization across frameworks. Using PHP and leveraging expertise in API development, RPC, and Thrift, Xueyu’s contribution improved the precision of policy enforcement mechanisms. The project demonstrated depth in backend development, addressing nuanced challenges in cross-framework policy handling and dynamic context propagation.
