Worked on code quality improvements for the UBCFormulaElectric/Consolidated-Firmware project, specifically targeting the Chimera V2 firmware. Focused on refactoring import statements to reduce code coupling and enhance readability, which also contributed to faster compile times. Standardized the use of protobuf throughout the firmware, improving serialization consistency and supporting long-term maintainability. All changes were delivered with clear documentation and testing steps, streamlining the review process and easing onboarding for future contributors. Utilized Python and firmware development skills, with an emphasis on protobuf integration, to lay the foundation for future enhancements and enable more efficient feature development in the firmware codebase.
