Developed two core features for the basecamp/lexxy repository, focusing on enhancing text editing and asset management workflows. Leveraging JavaScript and Ruby on Rails, introduced editor link merging enhancements that unify adjacent LinkNodes with identical URLs during paste operations, ensuring semantic correctness and improving editing reliability. The implementation included targeted refactoring to streamline the merge process and comprehensive test coverage to address edge cases and prevent regressions. Additionally, integrated a URL parameter call into the asset management workflow, improving asset handling capabilities. The work emphasized maintainability and reliability, with a focus on front end development and robust text editing functionality.
