Worked on the ardatan/graphql-mesh repository to address a complex bug involving OpenAPI discriminator mapping for inline request and response schemas. Focused on improving type resolution fidelity, the developer implemented logic to resolve abstract types by discriminator rather than relying on structural fallbacks. This involved enhancing the handling of relative discriminator references and refining traversal under various JSON Schema keywords. Expanded regression tests and fixtures were added to ensure robust coverage, particularly for inline discriminators and callback scenarios. The work was carried out using JavaScript and TypeScript, leveraging skills in API development, GraphQL, OpenAPI specification, and comprehensive automated testing.
