March 2026: Overhauled the E2E testing framework in openshift/release to enable cross-version validation. The cloud-event-proxy E2E tests were migrated to ClusterPool with Hive cluster claims, providing scalable resource management across multiple OpenShift versions and stabilizing test coverage. In parallel, removed the AWS E2E testing path to streamline CI, reduce maintenance, and minimize flaky results. Presubmits were regenerated to support Hive cluster claim configurations across releases, and version-specific settings (notably 4.9/4.11) were reverted to IPI where needed to improve stability. Linuxptp-daemon release YAMLs were updated to remove AWS E2E testing configuration, consolidating the test strategy. These changes deliver faster feedback loops, broader multi-version coverage, and a simpler, more maintainable CI pipeline.
